a lil Review: Dark Mouse

I saw Dark Mouse’s Midsummer Amusements Seton the feeds and instantly oooohed and ahhhed over it. I instantly added it to my “to buy list” (I’m only getting paid once a month, so I can only buy lindens once a month now *tear*). However, I logged on to see that Mouse Mimistrobell had dropped a review copy of the jewelry into my inventory. Thank goodness I don’t have voice or my squeel would have tortured many.

The Midsummer Amusements Set includes earrings, a bracelet, necklace, and even a hat (not pictured). Shown in Juicy Orange, the earrings and necklace each feature one flower blossom with golden leaves. The bracelet is a large gold cuff that includes two flowers. This set is a bold statement and perfect for summer. The set retails for 300L and also comes in Dreamy Blue. You can purchase it at Dark Mouse’s Mainstore.

a lil Review: Otaku Designs

Lola79 Hienrichs  from Otaku Designs is a designer I have been fangirling for a bit. I love her tattoos (especially the Sugar Skulls and Roses Set-not pictured today). Recently, she has made some jewelry sets that are right up there with Violet Voltaire’s. Shown is the Royalty Set and includes the necklace and bracelet. The necklace is really the statement piece, that has skulls but is still perfectly girly. Also, she included attachments for the necklace on both the chest and spine. I love choices! The bracelet is a little more toned down, but matches the chain on the necklace just right. a lil Review: She’s So Unusual Shoes

I’ll admit it-I often get in a shoe rut. I stick to the same stores and forget to try new things. So, when Rowan Carroll of She’s So Unusal Shoes dropped some review copies on me, I was excited to discover a new store to get me out of this rut.

From She’s So Unusual Shoes, Rowan sent me the Eggplant Peep Toe Wedges and the Lime Maryjane Platforms. iRL, I am a total wedge whore. Mostly, because I can wear them without much foot pain (pain is fashion!) and usually don’t fall over in them (I’m not the most graceful thing). I loved how she used a bright pink complimented by a darker wood. Also, the detail on the wood added to the design, making it not just another pair of wedges. The Lime Maryjane Platforms were instantly my favorite. The color drew me in first-it’s a perfect color for spring. Then, I began to look at the detail Rowan paid to the shoe. She used a darker lime on the heel to compliment the rest of the shoe, and the bow completely finished the shoe-adding more detail without making it childish-looking.

a lil Review: Storin Umbrella Poses

I’ve been a fan of Storin’s poses for awhile now. In fact, I probably own 75% of them! Last week, Annah Whitfield dropped her latest set, Umbrella Poses, on me. I had so much fun shooting at the Cupcake SIM with these poses! The poses come with two umbrellas-one that is open (shown) and one that is closed (not shown). The umbrella’s can be re-textured to match any of your outfits. Shown above are the majority of the open umbrella poses, but also included in the pack are closed umbrella poses.

As for the clothes, the dress and shoes are RFL items. The dress is the Haver Tiered Flock from [W&B] and the shoes are the adorable Unique Birdie Kat Platforms from Kookie.

The other items are not pictured, but are worth a mention. The hair is from Dark Mouse and is the Isabella in Dark Black. The skin, as you would expect from me, is Tuli’s Faith in Classic. Blogger Appreciation Post 3 and a Review Rolled Into One

  

With this look you are getting a two-for-one-blog post. You get to see a few more items that the super-awesome designers have sent out to bloggers, as well as a couple of new items from *Etoile* that were sent to me to review.

The Blogger Appreciation Gifts include the Magika Curl Hair shown in Black A. I had been meaning to go and demo their new curly styles, so I was uber-excited to get all the colors as a gift! Ryker Beck of Genesis sent out 500L gift-cards allowing us bloggers to pick out what we wanted in her store. I ended up going with the Twilight Eyes shown in Anger and her new Adaire Flats shown in Sunshine. The jacket was one of two gifts from DCNY and is the Jaana Black Jacket. All of the fun poses you see were also sent out to the Fashion Blogger Group from Cyanide.

As for the review items, they include the tank and the shorts. Both items are part of the newest releases from *Etoile*. The tank, Foudre, was instant love because of the bright colors. I loved how Lorelle GossipGirl designed the Noir Cotton Shorts to go with them-I prefer a simple color when wearing such a bright shirt. I’ve watched the progress Lorrelle has made and she is definitely improving on her textures. This is a store to watch!

The two pieces I’m showing today that were a part of the Blogger Appreciation gifts, I literally squealed and changed into them ASAP. The dress is SySy’s Cavin Chic, which she did in this limited edition color just for the bloggers. a lil Review: Fleur

We all know that Fleur makes gorgeous skins. But, did you remember that they also make gorgeous clothes to go with those skins? Recently, Fleur released the Second Date Dress, which truly is the perfect dress for a second date. If I ever actually get a first SL date, and then an offer for a second, I will surely were this dress. The texture on this dress is perfect, and I love the flirty swing of the skirt. And, if you know anything about dressing for a date, you know it’s a great idea to show off one asset and one only-that way you don’t appear slutty or desperate. In this dress, Roslin chose to show off the cleavage, along with just the right amount of leg.

As for the skin, it is of course from Fleur. It is from my favorite line of theirs, Allure. It is their Fall in Love skin in make-up 3 (again, how perfect with the dress?). The jewelry is a gorgeous set of pearls, Golden Pearls of Wisdom, from flirt, which scream classy. The shoes are also an important part of any date look, so I chose Maitreya’s Virtue in Patent Black, which have been a stable in my SL wardrobe since they came out almost a year ago. The hair is from Exile, and is the Laynie style, shown in Twilight. This hair is a fundraiser hair to help cover the costs to pay for Laynie of Savoir Hair son to attend a diabetic camp.
