Same Damn Thing Day

It all started with Plurkshould be the lead sentence for all blog posts from now on. Awhile back, someone suggested we should do more blogger challenges. Then, someone else nominated Achariya to take charge of this idea. So far, she issued the bunny challenge, which I adored! Everyone looked so cute! The challenge now, for all of us bloggers to wear one same item and add our own style to it (read all about it here). The item chosen was a perfectly classic style shirt, the Cambridge Shirt, from Armidi Gisaci.

Obviously, I started the look with the Cambridge Shirt, which I grabbed in Francia Afrilla. I knew I wanted to wear it with a skirt, but couldn’t find one I really liked in my inventory, so I hopped on over to Church of Luxe. There I grabbed up Julian in Violet. As for the shoes, Kookie teased us on Plurk with these the other day. Once the Coco Shoes hit the store, I grabbed them up!

Called to the Books

Sometimes I seriously wonder how so many of you bloggers go to school, work, raise kids, have a social life, and still manage to blog. I’m lucky lately if I can actually throw a plurkin my day. In other words, I’ve been a terrible blogger. Thank gawd I don’t have high expectations for myself when it comes to actually putting a blog out.

This is an outfit I grabbed from Ornamental Life during the Heart of Lovefundraiser. I decided to blog this outfit for two reasons today-the first being the fact that school has consumed my life as of late and the second being that Ornamental Life’sShir is going in for her surgery today.

The outfit is called Called to Blackboard. Blackboard is the name of a site where most of my teachers post notes and assignments, and I’m often called to this damn site to keep my grades up. I paired the outfit with my trusty FNKYglasses, that are a tad similar to the glasses I had to finally get in real life (yay! gone are the days of squinting like a dork to see the board!). The shoes are from Royal Blue and are one of the greatest lucky chair gifts I’ve ever received. I threw them in the mix to add a tad bit of color to my otherwise dark look.

Heart of Love-Ornamental Life take Two

Heart of Love is going strong! So far L680,729 has been raised! Today, I am (once again) showing items from Ornamental Life. The poses I used are all from Long Awkward Pose. Dove has marked down tons of pose packs that are soon to be retired, and all proceeds from them will go to HoL. Not only will you get pose packs at an amazing price (I’m pretty sure I paid around 225L for most) you will also be contributing to a great cause. Now, for the outfit!

Heart of Love: Ornamental Life

More than likely by now, you have heard of the current fundraiser iSL, Heart of Love. If you haven’t, instead of rehashing, hop on over to I Have Nothing to Wearfor all the information. The fundraiser is to benefit Shir Dryke of Ornamental Life. One way to contribute is to purchase items from her store. Since it has been freezing where I live, I grabbed a couple of bathing suits from OL and headed to the beach.

The first bathing suit is Wave Dancer. The pose I am using is from {flowey}, and is their contribution to HoL.

The second bathing suit is Speak to Me of Summer, and once again the pose is a part of {flowey}’s HoL pose pack.

Over the course of this charity, I will be showing off as many items from the charity as I can. You can find the full list of stores participating here. You can also donate by placing some lovey Linden in heart vendors in participating stores.

I love this Record, baby

I am not a morning person at all, so I have rituals I do in the morning to (hopefully) wake me up and get me moving a tad more. Other than gulping down a Red Bull and smoking a few cigarettes, I have to listen to loud perky music. My current song at the moment that gets me going is Lady GaGa’s “Just Dance.”

Swallow? or Spit?

So, I was the odd kid who wanted glasses and braces. Of course, I ended not needing either one. Thanks to SL, I can finally wear glasses. I bought a couple from FNKY the other day, and today I’m wearing Semitone.

As soon as I opened this week’s note-card from Snatch, I knew I had to have the She Swallows Cardigans. They come in a bunch of yummy colors for 250L. I opted to wear the second version of the black.

Since I start school this week, I’m going to stop rambling now. I need to save as many brain cells as possible. Oh, and all the other things you need to know are below.

Irl, sweatsuits are a must for me. Being a college student, there are just some mornings where getting out of bed is a chore-forget picking out a stylish outfit. However, there seems to be a shortage of great sweatsuits iSL. So, when I was wondering around yet again (which is getting me in trouble!), I ran into Kana-Na and found Junk Food.

an Encemble ensemble

You know that thrill you get when you head into one store, round a corner, and find a new store? That happened to me the other day when I stopped by Candy Nail to pick up a few new styles. I decided to explore the other shops in the sim, and discovered Encemble.

I was immediately drawn to the Sweet Wine Set. I like that I can still wear it in winter, but it gives me a touch of spring to look forward to. Included with the dress were short sleeves, as well as a shorter length dress. You got to love designers that give you options!

Another reason I found to make this store a new favorite is the group gifts. There were three in store, and my favorite by far was this skirt. It worked perfectly with my bolero I got as Cubic Effect’s CSR gift.

I love Rihanna’s style. I’ve already imitated her style once, as seen here, but couldn’t help myself from doing it again. At the last MTV Video Music Awards, she performed with a biker jacket, jeans, hot boots, and sunglasses. Her look was all in black, but I chose to do it all in white.

I started with the Moto Jacket from Wrong. For the jeans, I went with a pair from Decoy. The boots of the moment, the Biker Boots from Redgrave, ended on my feet after a whee bit of editing. I love these boots, the texture is perfection, but why didn’t they include a prim-resizer?!? To finish the look, I hid my eyes with a pair of shades from Emery. And since I know you want and need the full break down of the look, I included it for you below. Also, I threw in a link to the video of Rihanna performing in the look I copied. Why? Just because I’m nice like that!
