Double the Fashion

This past week, my two favorite outfits just happened to consist of items from the same stores. It makes life so much easier when you can hit up a few stores and make two amazing outfits!

For both outfits, the base was pieces from G.L.A.M. This first look started with their “Bustier Pencil Dress.” Since the dress was so simple, I knew I wanted to play it up with accessories. Since the belt was gold, I chose to do gold accessories. The necklace is from *MM*, which you can find inside of G.L.A.M. Their pieces are great because you can change the color of the metals, making them extremely versatile. The bracelet is one of my favorite pieces I’ve purchased from Caroline’s Jewelry. It is a part of her XOXO Collection, and is called “Gold Metallic Double Stud Bracelet.”

The hair I’m wearing is one of the latest releases from Diversity. It is the “Jaya” style. As for the sunglasses, G.L.A.M. kindly included them with the dress.

I started building on my second outfit with G.L.A.M.’s “Glamour Chic Jumper.” In case you are looking at my feet, you will notice I used the same shoes with both outfits. These are the “Dalia Pumps” from Armidi Gisaci. I switched back to my normal blonde with this look, and am wearing an adorable pony from Diversity, “Tippi.”

This adorable earrings are from Fresh Baked Goods (also where the pic is taken!). They are free at their Retrology location. The bracelet is another piece I grabbed from *MM* and is the “Lucky Charm Bracelet.” I am wearing the matching necklace, as well, but it is a little hard to see in the pics (sorry!).

I Can See Your Face in My Pants

Poor Kit. I brought her into the virtual world and neglected her. Well, not completely. I’ve let her out to camp. Even though, I guess that’s not a whole lot better than if I had fully neglected her. I did however, put her in one hot outfit. I loved her outfit so much, I even forced her to wear it a few days in a row. I don’t think Kit minded too much though.

The pants are hot shiny latex and I’m having a hard time not making them a part of every outfit Kit wears! They are a part of Sn@tch’s “Slick Latex and Sarees” outfit. I love the fact that Sn@tch does great freebies every week-Kit’s wardrobe size may catch up to Tiffer’s soon because of that! The shoes are also from Sn@tch, and are their “Streetwalkers-Black Satin.” These shoes have just the right amount of girliness and kick-ass in them. The corset was a group gift from PixelDolls, and is aboslutely gorgeous. It is their “Noveau Corset.” If you have not clicked PixelDolls Subscribe-O-Matic, what are you waiting for?!? The group gifts from that are some of the best there are out there!

I love the hair Kit is wearing so much, that I had to do a closer pic of it for ya’ll. The hair is from Diversity and is the “Brooklyn” style in Coal. Kit got this using her new avatar voucher Diversity offers-all newbs definitly need to get this great deal! The earrings are from GNubie and are called “Birdcage.” As for the skin, I still have Kit in the one of the free instore gifts from lessthan3. They are too perfect on her to take off! This one is the “Fashion-pale.”

I changed Kit out of this outfit the other day, so if I am a good blogger, you will see it within the next few days!

Fussy Over Boots

A great pair of boots is an essential part of any wardrobe. Four great pair of boots? Well, that is just sure to make everyone else jealous of your wardrobe. And, jealousy is a great form of flattery, right? In my personal opinion (which I believe is always right!), Fussy has the boots we all need in our SL closets. Formerly known as Glamour Puss, the owners (the sexy sibling duo Satomi Masukami and Vonatar Blackthorne) have recently revamped, rebranded, and reopened the store with even more hotness than before. Hold tight as I take you through my four favorite pair of boots from the store.

The “TeaseMe Boots x3″ were my first pair of shoes from the store, so they will always hold a special place in my heart. They are a low-cut style that lace up the front.

The “Leather Stilettos” were my first big shoe spluge iSL, and they have been worth every Linden. I have worn these boots with everything from jeans to dresses. They are just the right height, and the heel adds just the right amount of sex.

Now, before I type the name of these shoes, let me warn you-it’s a tad on the naughty side! These are Fussy’s “FuckMe in Latex Sculptie.” Everything about these boots screams, well, fuck me. From the silver stiletto to the black latex to the silver detailing around the boot, no one will be able to say no to you in these boots.

The last pair of boots I’m going to show you are the perfect mix of street and sexy. The “FillMe Up Boots v2″ come right over the knee, and are tied up from the back of the boot going all the way from the stiletto heel to the knee. The great part about the string is it is color-changeable. Another reason I love these boots? You can see me in the store ad for them (thanks again for the amazing photo Satomi!).

Deep Sea OOPS

The other day I logged on to SL and had an IM that simply said “hi.” The name was unfamiliar to me, so I checked out the person’s profile. It just happened that the short greeting was from Emilie Susanti who just happened to be a designer. Of course, I was curious and had to go check out her designs.

When I arrived at OOps, I was not disapointed. Being in a blue mood lately, I was instantly drawn to the “Deep Sea” jacket. I don’t know where to start with what I like about this jacket. First, the color is bright and inviting. Second, the sleeves are cute (though adjusting the prims almost made me *almost* pull my hair out). Third, the detailing on the jacket. I love when clothes have a bit of a wrinkle look to them-it makes it look so much more realistic.

The outfit also came with the jeans. While they do show a tad bit of crack, I like how they make my butt look too much to even care about that. Plus, the color on these is great-black jeans kinda bore me, so the shading on these is refreshing. I also want to point out that detail was even paid to the back of the jacket. Once again, there is about of wrinkling to give that realism.

As for the rest of my outfit, I added a few of my current favorite things. As you can see, I am still wearing Diversity’s “Sydney.” Also, I have my usual Juicy shoes on (God bless the these shoes and all their yummy colors!). The bracelets from M.R.M. are quickly becoming a part of all of my outfits. They are color-changeable, come in different sizes, and can be worn on both wrists.  Gotta love all those options!

The Great Grape Escape

Weekends are a time to escape from the normal icky routine of our week. I managed to escape to the desert outside of Digit Darkes. I know, big escape, huh?

This outfit came about because I knew I wanted to wear all of these pieces, as well as blog them. Lucky for me, they all looked great together. Shall we start from the feet up? The shoes were instant love. I really had wanted to avoid going to the Shoe Expo on the day it opened, but after seeing these babies from Maitreya, I had to go ASAP. I don’t know what to say about them, other than they are completely yummy and by purchasing them, I donated money to the ASPCA (I couldn’t have picked a better cause myself! Having 3 adopted doggies, this is one charity I love!).

Since I spent all my money on shoes, I dug thru my inventory for something I hadn’t worn, yet. This dress is based on a Cosmo magazine cover featuring Rihanna. It is from Pin Up Dolls, and is simply titled “Cosmo Dress.” It comes in an assortment of colors, but I’m a purple gal. I love the shade of purple on this dress, the texturing, the cute ruffling, and the lace detail around the bust. It is one cute dress! Finally, my hair! This is one of the first short style I have truly loved in awhile. When I started SL, my avi only wore short hair. I grew tired of the short styles out there, and eventually went a little longer. I recently got the “Sydney” style from Diveristy Hair (thank you again Aleri, you rock!), and I have honestly been wearing it for half a week straight now (I did wash my hair, TYVM). The new textures at Diversity are amazing, and the layering and movement is great on this style. I’ve always liked the hair styles there, but the blondes were never quite right. Now, they are perfect.

 

That’s all for my fashionable escape in the desert. Don’t worry about me getting to hot-I’ve already moved inside to Diversity to lay around on some of their couches.

Bursting in Blues

This great fluffy dress from Thimbles has set in my inventory for awhile now. As much as I wanted to wear it, I had one problem. No shoes that matched it just right. Thank goodness for the Shoe Fair! At Aphrodite Creation’s booth I found the gourgeously colored “Vintish Art Teal Lilac” heels. The blue in them played perfectly with the blues in the dress.

Since the dress is such a bold piece, I chose to go simpler with the jewelry. Other than my normal piercings, the only jewelry I wore is a bangle from Artilleri. The bangle is great because it is color-changable. As for my legs, since the dress was a little short, I decided to throw on some tights in “Cyan” from Ivalde. And, no outfit is complete without nails from Candy Nail. These are their “Jewel Blue” nails.

White Out

To me, white pants are a simple way to make a fashion statement. They instantly make an outfit, and are so easy to accessorize around. This past weekend, I couldn’t seem to get out of white pants, in fact!

My first look actually didn’t start with the white jeans. I started this outfit with the great “Margearux Jacket” from Decoy. I chose to wear it with the white belt, and because of that, I decided I needed white pants to complete the look. After going through a few different pair of white jeans, I ended up in Decoy’s “Genesis 10 Jeans.” Since this look seemed a bit high-fashion-attitude to me, I threw on the sunglasses. These are Emery’s “Las Vegas Sunglasses in White,” the perfect big-don’t-look-at-me pair of sunglesses.

Over the weekend, I knew I was going to be hitting the pavement hard at the Shoe Expo. However, I knew my shoes still had to look good! These were a group gift from Periquita (which is still in the archives at their subscribe-o-matic!) and are their “Retro Round Shoes.” I have had these in my inventory for awhile, but had yet to wear them. So, I decided to keep up with theme of wearing items I hadn’t worn in my inventory, yet. Awhile ago, AD had a big sale and I grabbed up a bunch of things, including this top and pants. The “Quilla” shirt was terribly hard at picking a color out in. So, I stuck with the tried and true pink. As for the “Seattle Bottoms,” I was instantly drawn to them in white.

Meet Kit

Over the weekend, I gave birth to another avatar. Kit Mavendorf is my alt with an attitude. While I love Tiffer and she will always be my main avi, I had long been wanting an edgier alt to play with. Enter Kit.

For Kit I wanted a bit of a longer, thinner, almost hungry shape. After tons of shape shopping (I swear, I cannot make a decent shape to save my life!), I chose Body Doubles “Megan Fox” shape. Megan Fox is a bad-ass chick, so perfect for my alt! Kit is going to wear all those bad ass clothes that Tiffer can’t pull off. The skirt is from the Last Call closing sale that Tiffer wasn’t able to pull off. The boots were free from Adora and the shirts were free OnRez from Underthings. Also, I want to show off ink on Kit, unlike the piercings I use on Tiffer. These tats are from LessThan3 and are called “Fables.”

I picked up the skin and eyes from LessThan3 who have set out a new freebie box. The eyelashes were from the gift MinnuModelSkins had set out earlier this week. They are the “Dott” style. The fun zebra print jewelry is from the FreeStyle tent on the Juicy Boardwalk. The hair Kit is wearing is “Stranded” from Gurl 6, thanx to their awesome newbie voucher. Oh, and I’ve been dying to be a vampire! The fangs are new from Sentou Yousei and are the “Barnabas Fangs” that come bloody or clean (I haven’t bit anyone yet, so I’m wearing the clean version).

 

I am going to leave Kit open to do reviews. I don’t think that gothic, steam-punk, vamp, punk, etc. clothing gets reviewed enough or even shown enough on the feeds. I would love to be able to change that with Kit, and help all of you amazing underground designers get out there even more! Just drop anything you’d like me to review on Kit Mavendorf and I will get to it ASAP!

A Juicy Decoy

While I’ve had items in my inventory from Decoy for awhile now, the store had never made it onto my favorite list. However, that all changed with their recent releases. The shorts, the bathing suits, the shirts, the jackets, and the colors all drew me in, sending me on a linden-spending frenzy. And, earned Decoy a spot in my fave list.

The top is Decoy’s “Sanrio.” The top can be worn as the halter and doubles as a swimsuit. Gotta love two-for-ones! The shorts are the “City Breeze Shorts” and are just the right sexy length. I love the colors on these pieces! They are perfect for summer. And, as usual, I am in Juicy shoes! They just seem to go with everything.

I had to give another view of these clothes-the detailing and texturing is amazing. Also, I finally had the chance to wear my group-gift skin from Artilleri (no longer available). I love the lips and eyes are “Emi”-not too much, but just enough.

Lusting for Flannel

The other day I was reading a fashion magazine and stumbled upon a snippet on how flannel is back. However, instead of the grungy flannel styles of the early 90’s, todays flannel is more fitted and *gasp* actually cute!

Over the weekend The Starlust had a great Fourth of July party. They even had a picnic table set out with items 10L or less! I grabbed “Uncle Frank’s Dirty Flannel” from Thimbles and was eager to throw it on. Just looking at this shirt makes me feel comfy!

With my flannel shirt on, I decided to add a cute denim skirt from Surf Co. and my boots from Paper Couture. Last week I had grabbed this adorable pig-tails from Aden and was glad to have an excuse to wear them!
